Automation is rapidly reshaping every business across al industries. Although this shift is relatively new within the legal sector, many legal operations leaders and GC’s recognise that legal process automation will play an important role in their future operating model.
Legal process automation is simply the use of software to perform repetitive, manual tasks usually undertaken by a human. It can be used to replace almost any manual task and save firms thousands of hours in human labor and costs. Processes such as document, contract requests, self service NDAs are already being automated today, but with newer technologies such as machine learning being applied to automation firms are slowly recognising tat entire end to end processes can be automated too.
The benefits of automation are obvious and so most innovative legal teams want to transform, but very few have the expertise to do this successfully.
